About the Artist - Linda Wharton

Linda was born and raised just outside Kilkenny city. Having spent two summers working in Nicholas Mosse pottery, Linda developed a keen interest for design and pottery.

Linda completed her training in Limerick school of Art and Design, Clare Street, Limerick where she graduated with a diploma in Product Design 2001.
In 2002 Linda completed her degree year receiving a Bachelor of Design, specialising in Product Design.

Since leaving college Linda has set up her own studio four miles from Birr in Co. Offaly. This is where Linda sells most of her ceramic pieces. The studio itself is open to the public and visitors are always welcome, simply call Linda on 086 1966166.

You may have seen some of Linda's work throughout the country at local craft fairs and exhibitions. Her work was recently displayed at the easter event in Birr Castle.

Linda is also a visiting artist to local schools throughout the midlands where she has taught as a part of the Artists in Schools Programme.
